Moving Rates
How Moving Rates Work
We use a clear, time-based pricing model for both residential and commercial moves.
Rates are based on crew size, vehicle type, and the actual time spent on site.
Minimum Service Time
Every move includes a minimum service time to ensure proper scheduling and preparation.
-
A two-hour minimum applies to all moves.
-
The minimum service time includes crew readiness and vehicle allocation.
Ongoing Time After the Minimum
After the minimum service time, charges are based on the actual additional time required.
-
Additional time is billed in 30-minute increments.
-
Rates are based on crew size and service configuration.
When Does the Clock Start?
Moving time is tracked using a simple and transparent method.
-
Time starts when the crew arrives at the pickup location.
-
Time ends when moving services are completed.
-
Only on-site moving time is billable.
Crew & Vehicle Configuration
Crew size and vehicle type are selected based on the volume of items and access conditions.
For smaller moves, a cargo van may be recommended instead of a full-size truck to improve efficiency and reduce overall cost when appropriate.
Why We Don’t List Every Scenario Online
Because every move differs in distance, layout, and access conditions, not all pricing scenarios are listed online.
After reviewing your move details, we provide a clear, upfront quote with no hidden fees.
Storage Rates
Storage fees are calculated on a per-skid, per-month basis.
-
$80 per skid / month for standard storage
-
$60 per skid / month for long-term storage (6 months or longer)
-
Palletizing service (if required): $30 per skid
-
Depalletizing / release fee: $10 per skid
All storage rates are based on actual space used and confirmed at the time of intake.
*A skid refers to a standard palletized storage unit.*
Additional Handling Fee
Additional handling fees may apply based on distance, item weight, and access conditions. All charges are assessed according to actual on-site conditions and confirmed in advance.
Long-Distance Moves
For moves with a total distance of over 60 km, a distance surcharge applies:
-
$0.50 per km (applies to the entire distance once 60 km is exceeded)
Standard Heavy Items
(e.g. massage chairs, washing machines, refrigerators, marble tables)
Handling fees for standard heavy items are based on access type and internal level changes, not building height.

-
$30 per level crossed when the item must be moved between levels
-
-

-
A flat $30 handling fee applies, regardless of floor number
-
If the unit itself has multiple internal levels, $30 per internal level crossed applies
-
Oversized / Extra-Heavy Items
(items over 300 lbs, including pianos)
Oversized items require specialized handling. Fees are based on access type and internal level changes, not building height.
-
Without an elevator:
-
$80 if the item is on the same level as the main exit
-
Additional stair fees apply if the item must be moved between levels
-
-
With an elevator:

Stair Handling (Oversized / Extra-Heavy Items Only)
-
Indoor stairs:

$10 per step applies when manual lifting between internal levels is required
-
-
Outdoor stairs (houses / ground-level access):
-
No stair fee applies if the truck ramp fully covers the exterior stair height
-
$10 per step applies if manual lifting over steps is required
-
Important Notes
-
Fees are based on access conditions and internal level changes, not building floor count
-
Elevator-access buildings are charged based on unit layout, not unit height
-
Stair fees apply only when manual lifting is required
-
All fees are confirmed based on actual on-site conditions
Deposit & Tips
Residential Moves
For standard residential moves, a $50 deposit is required to secure your booking.
This allows us to properly arrange crew size and truck capacity based on travel distance and move volume.
The deposit is fully credited toward your total service cost and will be deducted from the final invoice after the move is completed.
Commercial Moves
Deposit requirements for commercial relocations vary depending on scope and volume.
Please contact us for details, as each commercial move is assessed on a case-by-case basis.
Tips
If you are satisfied with the service, we suggest offering a tip of 10% or more of the total service cost as a gesture of appreciation to the moving crew, following the completion of your move.
